Tips for a bright spring! The Spring Equinox has come and gone, which means that the world around us is slowly giving birth to Spring. We can all feel the bright anticipation of the coming months, as the light of the day and the strength of the sunshine increases to warm us and the earth.

Spring is the perfect time for new beginnings, nourishment and clearing to make way for the fresh new season. Here we have a few tips to make the most of this time.

1. Wake up bright and early to start the day joyfully

Getting up early means you have more time for yourself to start your day. Perhaps it is a good time to introduce a meditation to your morning routine or you could begin the habit of waking up at 6am and thinking bright thoughts, as our favourite green books have suggested.

2. Move your body – tips for spring exercise

It can be difficult to move your body and get adequate exercise during the cold winter months, but spring is the perfect time to get moving again. Go for more walks, breathe in the fresh crisp spring air or start your day with some stretches or yoga poses. No matter what you choose, your body will thank you for a bit of gentle exercise!

3. Nourish your body

Winter is encourages comfort food and a bit of indulgence – but spring is a bit different! Donate your unneeded clothes to a charity, recycle the items you don’t use anymore, or revive it with a DIY craft that gives it a new look. It’s important not to create space for more clutter, but rather freshen up what we have available to us already.

6. Enjoy the sunshine

It may still be chilly, but its worthwhile making the most of those fresh sunny days! Spring sunshine is fantastic for the immune system, as the sun has not reached full strength yet, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. Time to soak up nature’s gift of Vitamin D!
