Healthy Recipe: Grilled Corn with Cedar Sauce

This recipe is suited for outdoors, however you can cook it in the oven or on a pan as well. A delicious twist on a popular fire food – this recipe uses cedar oil instead of butter, making it a good alternative to those following a plant based diet. The sauce adds a tangy salty flavour to the sweet taste of the corn. Have it as a side dish along with green salad or steamed veggies.

You will need:

🌽 Corn on the cob – 4 pieces
🌽 Cedar oil – 3 tbsp.
🌽 Lime – 1 pc
🌽 Sea or Himalayan salt – 1/2 tsp
🌽 Ground black pepper – 1/4 tsp

Cooking :

🌽 Clean the corn cobs from the leaves, anoint each one with cedar oil on top, put on the grill and bake for 10 minutes, turning occasionally.

🌽 Remove the zest from the lime – you will need about 1/4 teaspoon, and squeeze the juice – 1 teaspoon. In a small bowl, whisk together the cedar oil, lime zest, lime juice, pepper, and salt.

🌽 Serve the corn hot, pour the sauce over to taste just before eating.
