EVENINGS INDOORS: Ideas for Winter Months

Can you describe your perfect winter evening? We can help 😌❄️ Colder months of the year means more time spent indoors, fires, reading. It is a slower time of year where so much of the natural world rests for regeneration. We can also do this for ourselves by incorporating habits into our daily lives during winter months. Here are some of our suggestions:

Warm winter beverages

First up – a warm drink. This makes a huge difference especially when it is cold. Of course there are the popular and well known beverages – coffee, hot chocolate or ceylon tea. We like to use some unique products that have additional health benefits. It is also important how the product is produced, the energy and intention affects the quality. We love Acorn coffee, Ivan Tea, blueberry or Rosehip Tea, you can choose one or maybe even two if you like. Each drink has its own benefits, such as:

  • Acorn coffee – may help in preventing diabetes, improving heart health, improving digestive health and boosting energy levels
  • Ivan Tea – boosts immunity, improves energy levels, soothes nerves and digestion, contains many vitamins and minerals and has anti-allergic properties
  • Wild Berry Tea (Rosehip, Blueberry & Blackcurrant) – Wild berries contain high antioxidants and vitamins that assist in promoting immune health and vitality

Good Mood and Winter Warmth

Next up, creating a good mood and warmth in our space. Maybe a fire if you have a fireplace, or natural candles if you don’t have a fireplace, or both to create extra ambience 😍 Fire has a powerful natural energy, transforming the atmosphere of the space. Natural beeswax candles handmade by Siberian craftsmen preserve good energy and create ambience in any space. These natural candles also give off negative ions which are beneficial to our health.

Healthy Snacks

During colder months we find ourselves needing to consume more calories, being attracted to comforting foods that nourish and keep us full. Having healthy snacks at hand makes it easier for us to keep satiated in between meals, and healthy sweet treats allow us to still enjoy that after dinner treat without eating unhealthy ingredients.

Here are some of our favourites:

Taking care of the mind

Last but not least, it’s good to fill the mind with inspiring content, giving us ideas and motivation for spring and summer where much action will take place. Spending time with family, dreaming and planning, maybe drawing our ideas together or reading together – this can create a wonderful family atmosphere and inspiration.

And of course – a really good book. Can you guess which one we recommend? 🙂
