“I talked with former foresters who worked during the Soviet era. In the taiga, where our production is located, far beyond the bogs, there is a Cedar tree in the meadow, which is 610-640 years old. And such a cedar is the only one in the taiga.
The forester said: When a scientist came to our village, I told him about this cedar, but he did not believe its age. I offered to bring him to the place where it grows, to make an indication of its age. When we got to the tree, the employee no longer had a single drop of doubt. “Yes, indeed his age is 610-640 years,” he said. Since I was interested in the seeds from this cedar, I was worried that when the budding season came, all the cones would be harvested from it and there would be no seeds. However, I received a comforting answer. Even the locals do not go where it is, they do not beat him with a stab, and you have to wait for the bumps on him until he throws them off.
I asked the forester to take a tape measure with him and take a picture of him in girth, and when late autumn comes, collect cones near him. The girth of the cedar is 5 meters!
In the vast taiga region, around our production, there is a single, unique cedar aged 610-640 years.
When we were looking for five-meter cedars, we occasionally came across cedars with a circumference of 3 meters (about 400 years old), and we decided to collect cones from them too. There were only 12 such cedars.
Imagine what a powerful Tree will grow from such strong parents”
That’s how the seeds appeared in our store. We will collect the cones every year since now we know the way.
