Beets have been known to be associated with a variety of different healthy benefits such as lowering blood pressure and assisting in a persons performance in exercise. Carrots have been considered an excellent food for a healthy diet, being high in beta carotene, antioxidants and fibre as well as being associated with lowering cholesterol.

The pectin that is found in green apples is a fantastic fibre source that operates as a prebiotic for your gut – which assists in producing the healthy bacteria needed for your gut to work optimally.

What you will need for your smoothie:
  • Fresh beets – 1 pc
  • Carrot – 1pc
  • Green apple – 2 pcs
  • Mineral water – 1 glass
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.
  • Cedar protein powder  – 2 tsp
Method:
  • Peel carrots and beets, cut them into pieces
  • Chop up apples (either peeled or with the peel kept on)
  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend at high speed until smooth –  it turns out as a bright, energising drink.
