Q&A with Polina Megre:
1.Can you remember how many times you have read your father’s books? Do you still read them nowadays?
“I’ve read them many times, and I still read them from time to time. I often just open a random page, and every time I notice something new. The way I perceive the information also changes each time.”
2.Could you envisage including natural birch tree sugar (natural equivalent to xylitol) in your shop?
“Personally, I don’t really see the need for any additional sugar – there’s already so much natural sugar in different foods. But if someone does feel they need it, then of course it’s better to choose a natural, plant-based option like birch sugar.”
3.What was your favorite product when you first started with producing special products from the Taiga?
“My all-time favorite is cedar nut oil. I start my mornings by oil pulling with it and then brushing my teeth with our toothpaste. And I always carry the elixir with me – just one drop in a public place can protect me from infections!”
4.Is there a product that you would like to create but you have not yet?
“I think there will be offers for an exclusive tour to our Cedar House – an author’s retreat at the Megre Cedar House, personally hosted by Sergey and Polina Megre.”
