🍎 Apple Spas – Celebrating the Harvest
Every year on August 19th, people in Slavic lands celebrate Apple Spas (Яблочный Спас), the second of the three Spas days.
This holiday is all about the ripening of apples and other fruits, signifying the shift from high summer toward autumn. In original traditions, the first apples of the season were not eaten until this day, when the harvest was considered ready to be shared. Families gathered baskets of apples, pears, plums, and grapes, offering them to friends, neighbors, and those in need.

A Turning Point of the Year
Apple Spas is more than a fruit festival — it is a reminder that just as apples ripen in their time, so do all living things. It is a celebration of harvest, gratitude, and the natural cycles of growth and change.
